Cooking Method #1 of 5

BROIL

Preheat broiler and broilng pan.
Place rack near the top of your oven. You’ll want your meat or fish to be no futher than 2 or 3 inches from the heating element.
Dredge meat or fish in Char Crust just before cooking
If cooking a low-fat protein (seafood or bone- less skinless chicken) drizzle or spray cooking oil over the surface of the seasoned protein.
Flip protein every 1 - 2 minutes during cooking to ensure even cooking and no burning.

Cooking Method #2 of 5

BAKE/ROAST

Place sheet pan or roasting pan in oven
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Dredge meat or fish in Char Crust just before cooking
Drizzle or spray surface of seasoned protein with canola oil or other oil suitable for high-heat.
Place meat or fish on baking/roasting pan.
Cook for 10 minutes, then turn oven temperature down to 350 degrees
Continue cooking until desired level of doneness is reached

Cooking Method #3 of 5

BROIL

Preheat one side of grill to high (450 – 550 degrees), and the other side to medium low(about 350 degrees)
Dredge meat or fish in Char Crust just before cooking
Dredge meat or fish in Char Crust just before cooking
Drizzle or spray surface of seasoned protein with canola oil or other oil suitable for high-heat cooking
Place meat or fish on high heat side of grill
Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook for 2 minutes on the other side
Move protein to the medium-low side of the grill
Flip protein every 2 minutes during cooking to ensure even cooking and no burning
Continue cooking until desired level of doneness is reached

PAN-SEAR

Preheat cast-iron pan to medium-high (400 - 425 degrees)
Dredge meat or fish in Char Crust just before cooking
Drizzle or spray surface of seasoned protein with canola oil or other oil suitable for high-heat cooking
Place meat or fish inpan.
Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook for 2 minutes on the other side
Flip protein every 2 minutes during cooking to ensure even cooking and no burning
Continue cooking until desired level of doneness is reached

GEORGE FOREMAN® GRILL

Preheat grill
Dredge meat or fish in Char Crust just before cooking
Place meat or fish on grill, and close lid
Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook for 2 minutes on the other side
Flip protein every 2 minutes during cooking to ensure even cooking and no burning
Continue cooking until desired level of doneness is reached
